The Beginning of Knowledge

I'm starting started a new book which will be a mix of study guide and commentary on the book of Proverbs. If life be spared and money be given, I hope to publish the book some time this year.

I've always been a fan of high-level summaries of things in order to gain a better understanding of the details, so you can expect lots of tables.

My other goal is to create a reading of Proverbs that contains

  1. Categories for verses.
  2. Examples of the saying in the context of Scripture (mostly thanks to The Companion Bible).
  3. Notes.
Proverbs is probably my favorite book of the Bible for it's practical teaching in daily ethics and behavior as well as the more mystical references to Christ as Wisdom personified. And since the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, this seems like a foundational book from which to start a series.
